First of all don’t rush out and purchase a bow; one bow size does not fit all.
Before you can join any club they will ask you to complete a beginner’s course. This will make sure you can shoot safely, teach you the basics and allow you to be sure that archery is for you.

Before you can join any club they will ask you to complete a beginner’s course. This will make sure you can shoot safely, teach you the basics and allow you to be sure that archery is for you.
If you have completed a beginner’s course with another club that’s great, we would ask to see your certificate, or your Archery GB membership number.
Although we have access to our shooting ground 24/7, 365 days of the year, we cannot accommodate drop-ins.
If you’re already an experienced archer and are looking for a new club, then please contact us and we will arrange a first visit.

We have three regular Club Shooting Sessions each week; Tuesday & Thursday evenings, plus Sunday afternoons.
Our aim is to have coaching available at all of our Tuesday evening sessions, however you will find coaches available at most of our Club Sessions.
The club will also be open at other times during the week, whenever one of the club's Field Captains has available time and you will be welcome to join them. Coaching may not be available, but the members present will happily help you if you need it.
Ad hoc opening times will be communicated through the member's WhatsApp chat.

The practice you have put in since completing your beginner's course may have changed the size of bow you need, the length of your draw and the weight you can draw, so when you're ready to buy your first bow, the club coaches can advise you on what you should be looking for.
